Nutritional Balance

Each article considers the relationship between food variety, nutrient density, and the role of everyday choices in supporting steady, gradual weight awareness. There are no prescriptions here — only observations drawn from published nutritional research and field notes.

02

Daily Eating Patterns

Meal timing, portion size, food journalling, and the weekly rhythm of the plate — these are the instruments of this publication. The focus falls on what actually happens at the table across an ordinary week, not on idealised programmes or extreme constraints.

03

Movement and Weight

Sport, walking, and low-intensity regular movement all intersect with appetite and food selection. This publication documents that intersection through first-person observation and evidence-informed editorial, exploring how an active lifestyle shapes eating patterns over time.

── THE PUBLICATION

A Record, Not a Rulebook

Rokan Gazette was founded in London as an independent editorial project examining the ordinary complexity of eating well. The publication takes no position on dietary ideologies and endorses no specific regimen. What it does, methodically, is observe.

Each piece emerges from real eating records, seasonal market visits, and the kind of attentive food journalling that the publication's writers practise throughout the year. The goal is an honest account of what nutrition looks like in an ordinary London week — not a curated ideal.

The Plant-Based Observation

Four months of following a predominantly plant-based meal structure yielded patterns that were quieter and more persistent than expected. This ongoing series documents those observations — the shifts in weight, in energy from food, and in the weekly relationship with the plate.
